Life Story for Marjorie Ann Thompson (Williams)

Mom went to her heavenly home peacefuly surrounded by family on May 2, 2013 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Texas October 3,1932 to Bernice Johnson Williams and Tom Williams.

She spent most of her life in Sapulpa. She graduated from Sapulpa High School and married Lester Thompson. From that union came two children, Karen and Mike.

She developed a great passion for fishing and later hunting. She usually out-fished and out-hunted even the men. After hearing the hunting stories from the men she quit staying at camp and went, too. Sse and Dad had a bet on their last trip to Colorado that whoever caught the biggest trout got to have it mounted. She won.

After her children were grown, she became an alcohol and drug abuse counselor for U.C.A.P. She helped many people on their journey to sobriety and was a member of the Sapulpa Serenity Group.

She is surivived by her children, Karen (Mike) Pugh and Mike (Diane) Thompson. She is also survived by the greatest joys of her life, grandsons, Brion Sinor, Justin (Brandy) Pugh and two great-grandkids, Savanah and Jordan Dean, several cousins and host of friends she called her “family.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester Thompson and many family members and friends.

A celebration of life memorial will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Dripping Springs Baptist Church, 24505 W. Oklahoma 33, with Greg Hurst officiating.

Mom, you were loved, and we will miss you. We know that you are with God, family and friends in your “mansion.”

The family has entrusted the care of the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. www.greenhillok.com
