Life Story for Antone Junior "Tony" Himple

Antone Junior "Tony"  Himple
Tony, our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, June 17, 2013, at ClareHouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on January 17, 1933 in Spokane, Washington, the eighth of ten children to Richard and Rosa Emch Himple. In 1934 the family moved to Bothell, Washington where he attended School District #101 Elementary School and Bothell High School. Upon graduation he joined the United States Navy and served his country for 4 years as the helmsman for the USS Rendova. On October 12, 1963, he married the love of his life, Judy Ann Himple and had two children, Tawny and Andrew. Tony was a volunteer fireman for the Spring Glen Fire Department in Renton, Washington for 4 years while beginning his career at Boeing Aerospace. He retired from Boeing Aerospace in 1992, with 37 years of service to the company. In his retirement years he and his wife moved to Oklahoma to be closer to their granddaughter, Colette, and enjoyed traveling in their motor home, fishing and working part-time for the Owasso School District while being a faithful servant for 15 years at Friendship Baptist Church.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, sister’s Anna, Louise, and three brothers, Walter, Richard II and Paul. Tony is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Tawny Himple Crone, husband Tim Crone, grand-daughter Colette Crone, son Andrew Himple, wife Cindy Himple, grandsons Andrew and Nicholas Himple, two brothers, Kenneth and Keith, two sisters, Marie and Evelyn; many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tony was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013. Tony’s request was for no flowers at the funeral, but for all donations to be sent to ClareHouse 7617 South Mingo Road Tulsa, Ok 74133
