The Obituary of Wilma Mae Murr
Wilma Mae Murr passed away Monday, June 24th, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born in Springdale, Arkansas on March 5th, 1941 to Cornelius ‘Mac’ McGuire and Mabel LaFern Hoskins McGuire. Wilma attended school at Sapulpa High School and continued her education in cosmetology. Afterwards, she continued a career as a beautician, where she spent over thirty years loving to make people beautiful.
Those called to heaven before her are: husband, Herbert Murr; father, Cornelius McGuire; brother, Jerry McGuire; brother-in-love, Charles David Adams; Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. Those surviving her are: mother, Mabel McGuire; her one & only miracle child, Charlotte DuBuc; son-in-love, Douglas DuBuc; grandsons, Brandon and Donovan DuBuc; sister, Brenda Adams; brother Robert McGuire and wife Mary; brother, J. David McGuire and wife Susan; brother, Ronnie McGuire; brother, Dony McGuire and wife Reba; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews.
Wilma was a fun loving person who loved to make people laugh. She always had a smile on her face and had been nicknamed ‘Winky’ by her family. She used her talent of being able to make someone feel at home and always knew the right thing to say. Winky loved to take care of people’s needs and was always there when family or friends needed a helping hand or just a shoulder to lean on. She worked for HairTrend for most of her career, but also owned and operated her own beauty shop in Sapulpa for several years. Wilma loved the Lord and has now been fitted for her new pair of wings.
