Life Story for Mary Catherine Warren (Potts)

Mary Catherine Potts was born on August 6, 1919, to Ralph and Georgia Potts in Britton, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 27, 2013 at the age of 93.
She and her family moved from Oklahoma to California during the Great Depression and eventually, after World War II, they moved to Crossville, Illinois, where she met Bill Warren, the love of her life. The story goes that Bill followed her into the cooler one day, in the restaurant where she was working as a pastry chef, gave her a kiss and they were together from then on. They were married on June 15, 1946 in Vermilion Parish, Abbeville, Louisiana. They reared three children, Billy, Catherine and Kay.
She loved her family and devoted her life to caring for them. She was a great cook and pastry maker. She and her husband, Bill, loved dancing, camping, boating and traveling. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed planting flowers, gardening and watching birds of all kinds, especially hummingbirds. She loved life, and you could tell it, no one who ever met her, didn't like her. She had an amazing sense of humor, quick wit, and, on occasion, a sharp tongue. She loved to crochet, quilt, doing puzzles and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Georgia Potts, three siblings, Frieda, Harold and Theodore Potts, her beautiful and much loved sister, Elizabeth Potts and loving husband, Bill Warren, who passed in 2001.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Billy Warren and wife, Theresa, Sapulpa, her daughters, Catherine Banzet, Dallas, Texas and Kay Cutler, Sapulpa. Her grandsons, Michael Warren and wife, Mischell, Sapulpa, David Warren and wife, Michelle, Tulsa, Haven and Prentice Banzet, Dallas, Texas, Shea Cutler, Sapulpa, granddaughters, Kyra Jackson and Lacy Banzet, Dallas, Texas and Jessica Cutler, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also had eleven great-grandchildren, Blake, Annika, Nicholas, Delia, Vivek, Eva, Akia, Maya, Mariah, Austin and Xyler, and a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was loved by many and will be missed.
"Life is not forever, but love is."
