James Harry "Jim" Miller Sr.
James “Jim” Harry Miller, Sr. was born April, 23, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to James and Thelma Miller and passed from this life on August 21, 2013. Jim attended school in Baltimore, Maryland and Indian Mills, New Jersey. He spent the majority of his life in south New Jersey. He served in Germany for the United States Army and owned his own home remodeling companies for many years. Jim moved from New Jersey to Oklahoma in 1998. He met and married Marilyn Hunt on August 3, 2002.
Jim loved to brag about his grandchildren and their many accomplishments to anyone who would listen. He also enjoyed trout fishing at Lake Tanycomo in Branson, MO. He collected John Deere paraphernalia from mailboxes to cookie jars and from clocks to bath towels. Jim liked to read and browse through books about old cars, loved history, especially about the Civil War Era. His favorite music was classic country – singers like Hank Snow and Patty Page. He was also a big fan of James Garner movies and television shows and John Wayne movies.
Jim is survived by his children Pam Miller of Branson, MO; Debbie VanCuren of Shamong, NJ; Mary Veronica Sue (Ronnie Sue) Marienski of Port Republic, NJ; James (Jamie) Miller, Jr. of Tabernacle, New Jersey; Billie Jo (BJ) Cochran of Raleigh, North Carolina and Dominick (Nick) Miller of New York. He is survived by step-children David Mark Trimmer of Bixby, OK; and Joel Trimmer of Noble, OK. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by step-daughter Rebekah Carol Hisle.
