Life Story for Harold Lloyd Adams

Harold Lloyd  Adams
Harold Lloyd Adams was born July 23, 1931 in Sapulpa, OK. He was the first of four boys born to Oscar and Leona (Brown) Adams. He attended school in Kiefer, OK and married Hazel Turner in September 1950. From their union came two daughters, Jeannie and Sandy.
Harold worked as a mechanic for Firestone and Chief Freightlines. He also worked in the Creek County Assessors’ Office and drove a wrecker for Sapulpa Insurance Pool.
After 46 years together Harold lost his wife Hazel on April 19, 1997.
During his 82 years Harold enjoyed fishing, gardening, his family, and sports’, especially attending his daughters’ and his grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities. It was through a mutual interest in watching his granddaughter Elizabeth play basketball that Harold and Deloris McGuire would begin their friendship. They attended the ballgames, track events and school activities of grandchildren and great grandchildren and four years later on July 9, 2005 were united in marriage. Harold and Deloris continued to attend numerous school and sporting events with grandchildren and great grandchildren and also shared a love for gardening and planting flowers until Alzheimer’s and health problems prevented him from doing so.
Even during his struggle with Alzheimer’s and declining health, it was Harold’s smile that would endure. Family and friends, old and new, would be met with his warm smile and occasionally that little look of “mischief” twinkling in his eye.
Harold’s health struggles were over when he departed this earth on August 25, 2013 to be with his heavenly Father and other family members.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris; daughter Jeannie and her husband Gerald Baker; daughter Sandy and her husband Tim Keiffer; step-daughter Michele Flynn; and step-daughter Connie and her husband Jim Green;
