Obituary for Geraldine Margo Bokunwicz

Geraldine Margo  Bokunwicz
Geraldine M. Bokunwicz, 77 passed away November 9, 2013 in Catoosa, Oklahoma, Born August 7, 1936 in Grand Isle, Vermont. She was the daughter of Wilfred C. Davis and Bertha Anne Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Audrey Davis, Darlene Dale Davis, Lois Anne Stanley and beloved husband George J. Bokunwicz.
She is survived by her four daughters Donna J. French, Port. St. Lucie, Florida; Anne B. Dickson, Merritt Island, Florida; Judy L. Helmer, Claremore, Oklahoma and Joanie L. Rainville, Sussex, New Jersey. Her sisters Joan E. Fiarkoski, Alburg, Vermont; Virginia J. Lenze, Indiana; Joyce L. Blair, Port St. Lucie, Florida.She also leaves her five adored grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and cherished nieces and nephews.

Geraldine was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Burlington, Vermont and St. Anne's Shrine in Isle La Motte, Vermont.
Geraldine (Geri) was a licensed and certified specialist in caring for the Developmentally Disabled in her home for the state of New Jersey for many years. After the death of her husband George J. Bokunwicz, she returned to Vermont and continued serving seniors and friends at the Senior Center in Alburg, Vermont and the Islands.
Geri's unconditional love for family and friends always came first. Her loving, gracious and compassionate nature was contagious. Her love of family will be with us for eternity. We take great comfort in the Lord knowing she is with Him and now has her heavenly wings and is reunited with her loved ones in Heaven.
There will be memorial and special service in the spring of 2014 in a celebration of life for Geraldine (Geri) at St. Anne's Shrine in Isle La Motte, Vermont. A notice of the date of service will be published in The Burlington Free Press Newspaper prior to the celebration of Geri's life.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, please make a donation in Geri's honor, to your local Food Bank or Senior Citizen Center.
