Life Story for Johnnie Lee Newman

Johnnie Lee Newman
Johnnie Lee Newman passed away on February 3, 2014. John was born to Arthur Lee and Effie Elizabeth Newman on June 30, 1939 in Tulsa, OK. John was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings Bobby and JoAnn. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jacquelyn Newman; 3 brothers, Steve; Rick; and Larry; 2 sisters, Debbie; and Martha; and many nieces and nephews. John is also survived by his 4 daughters, Dena Shobe of Sapulpa; Brenda Davis of Sapulpa; Sue Ann Newman of Sapulpa; and Candy McCluskey of Texas City, TX; 3 sons, Jim Rogers of Sapulpa; Joe Newman of Oakhurst; and Tim Rogers of Big Spring, TX; 19 grandkids; and 12 great-grand kids.

John was ordained as a Pentecostal Church of God Minister in 1999 and later ordained as a Full Gospel Baptist Minister in 2001. John devoted his heart, love and life to God first, then family and, as we all know, he loved his 4 legged, hairy family too. John had a big heart, full of nothing but love. His goal in life was to teach his family to love the Lord and to live his life for the Lord as best he could. John was excited about life and what it brought him every day. He might have had a lot of struggles but you wouldn’t hear him complain. He just got up every day with a smile on his face and in his heart and enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation.

John completed his mission here on Earth and has gone to be with his Lord but he remains here in our hearts always. He is our inspiration to never give up and to keep on keeping on!

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength and they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
