Life Story for Fable M. Walker (Harry)

Fable lived in Chicago, IL for approximately 60 years; there she met and married to Alonzo Walker. To this union no children were born but, Fable had a daughter, Angel. Also, she was a mother to her Buttercup, Mrs. Rev. Jeanette Jones whom she helped raise and of course, her name sake. Dr. Faye J. Hickman.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angel; her husband Alonzo Walker, her parents, Burford and Frazier Harry, Sr.; Two brothers, Clark and Frazier Jr. Harry; and four sisters, Helen (Samuel) Johnson, Charlene (Don, Jr.) Hickman, Jettye (Bobby) Williams and Bettye Harry all of the Oklahoma area.

She is survived by one brother, Wheaton Harry; Two sisters, Elizabeth (Harry) Hall and Nancy (Phil) Edwards all in Sapulpa, area.

She was admired by many! She had a unique way to make you feel as though you were the most ‘important’ person in the world to her. She worked for the Chicago Department of Human Services under the direction of Maynor Dailey. She was instrumental in the residential placement, employment and the basic needs of the new residents in South Chicago. Additionally, she was Precinct Captain for the State of Illinois.
