Life Story for Jon Taylor Boyd

Jon Taylor Boyd
Jon Taylor Boyd was born June 11, 1972, to Bob & Goldie Boyd in Claremore, Oklahoma. He grew up in Oologah, OK where he graduated from high school in 1990. In high school he was an All-State soccer player, played basketball, baseball, football, and was in National Honor Society as well as many other extra-curricular activities. After graduation, he attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. He went on to complete his Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University.
On April 1, 2001, he married Kim Parise from Sand Springs, OK and they resided in Tulsa, OK. On November 30, 2008, their daughter Opal Arizona was born, who from day one was called Zoni. She was the joy of his life. He loved going to outdoor family events, teaching Zoni new things, watching her learn and loved most of all seeing her smile and hearing her sing. He also loved spending time with friends, playing golf, fishing, camping, snow-skiing, going to concerts, and just being outdoors. He attended Zion Hill Church with his extended family in Oologah, where he was raised in the Christian faith.
In 2011, Jon, and his brother Rob, combined their knowledge and experience in the environmental industry and have been working together since. The brothers shared a special bond, not only in business but also in friendship.
Jon is survived by Kim, and daughter, Zoni. He is also survived by his father, Robert (Bob), brother, Rob, sister-in-law, Courtney, nieces, Caitlin and Brianna, and nephew Harrison, of Owasso, OK; acquired sister, Brenda Clay and husband Brad of Tulsa; grandmother, Ruth Boyd of Oologah, OK; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who were all a very big part of his life. He is surrounded in Heaven by his mother, Goldie; his maternal grandparents, Roy and Opal Taylor; paternal grandfather, Harold Boyd; and his uncles, Marshall Taylor of Chelsea, OK and Dan Boyd of Chelsea,OK.
Next to his faith in Christ, Jon’s family and friends were an important part of who he was. He was dedicated and loyal to all of them and loved them all genuinely.
