Life Story for Earl Eugene Groves
Earl Eugene Groves, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Earl was born in Keystone, Oklahoma on August 15, 1934 to James Franklin Groves and Stella Eunice (Cowen) Groves.
Earl lived his entire life in Sapulpa. He graduated from Sapulpa High School. He retired from Warehouse Market in Sapulpa after 44 years, where he had been employed as the Meat Market Manager. He liked feeding his birds, enjoyed his riding lawnmower and going to the casino. Earl loved all his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife: Julia Ugland Groves; daughters: Laurie Rainbolt and Roy, Sandra Blackburn and Terry; grandchildren: Jeff Edwards, Allison Edwards, and Tori Blackburn; great grandchildren: Emily Edwards, Ariel Harrington, Bethany Harrington, Colton Harrington; step-children: Elizabeth Morgan and Larry, Harvey Ugland and Michelle; step-grandchildren: Jesse Ugland and Lisa, Allen McCaslin, Danielle Bennit and Kevin; step-great grandchild; Sofie Ugland. Also survived by nephews: Jimmy Groves and Sandy, Kevin Groves, and David Groves; nieces: Patty Caldwell and Dannie, Linda Johnson and Chad, and Vicki Wortz; great nephew Chris Grove.
Private family interment will take place at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. The family has chosen to entrust the care of the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312 www.greenhillok.com
