Life Story for Charles Louis Richards

Charles Louis  Richards
Charles Louis Richards was born in Proctor, Arkansas on October 29th, 1937 to Oscar & Thelma (Letchworth) Richards. Louis was raised in the West Memphis, Arkansas area. He attended college in Memphis, earning a degree in Accounting. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving 4 years. Louis moved to Oklahoma in 1966 where he was employed by Tulsa Machine. From there he was employed by Ford Motor Co. Tulsa Glass Division from 1974 until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed making his barbecue for others, listening to music, fishing, making belt buckles/knives, & seeing friends/family. He passed from this life in Sand Springs, OK on June 14th, 2014.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roy; two half-sisters, Geraldine & Sissy; and his son, Mark.

Louis is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mickey; Daughter & son-in-law Tammy Pace (Billy) of Sand Springs, OK; Daughter & son-in-law Mary Alvar (Tim) of Duluth, MN; Son & daughter-in-law, Charles Richards (Samantha) of Aurora, MN; Jimmy Richards (Jacque) of Becker, MN; Daughter & son-in-law, Jeanette Shelton (Joe) of Smyrna, TN; Daughter & son-in-law, Sue Bissen (Joe) of White Bear Lake, MN; Daughter Denise Daniels of Bartlesville, OK; Daughter Linda Zissou of Sand Springs, OK; Daughter Mimi Kelly of Broken Arrow, OK; Son & daughter-in-law, Danny Blaylock (Sherry) of Malden, MO.; Sisters Betty Richards, Doris Denton, both of Somerville, TN & Mary Will of The Villages, FL. Louis & Mickey, together, have 30 grandchildren & 23 great-grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Olivet Baptist Church in Sand Springs. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 918 224-2312 / www.greenhillok.com
