Life Story for Bettye S. Legrand

Bettye S.  Legrand
Bettye S. Legrand passed away on June 19, 2014 at the age of 71. She was born in Panama Central America on November 14, 1942. Bettye moved to Sapulpa in 1984 where she lived until the end of her life.

Bettye recently retired from Sapulpa Public Schools where she worked as a school bus driver for 26 years. Her hobbies included sewing and going to movies. She spent a lot of time watching Spanish soap operas and listening to Spanish music. Her favorite pastime was bingo, where she always “needed one more number.” She was a member of TOPS. Bettye could be described as very strong willed, sometimes stubborn, but was a good person. She rarely met a stranger.

Bettye is survived by daughters Buffy Gregory and Christy Mills; sons-in-law Johnny Gregory and Keith Mills; two grandsons, Bryce Gregory and Cody Mills; and one granddaughter, Emily Gregory.

Viewing will be Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 1 pm until 9 pm at Green Hill Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 23, 2014 in the Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Leroy Hawkins officiating.
