Helen Jean Cartwright, 89, of White Oak, Texas, formerly of Kellyville, died Friday, June 27, 2014, after a long illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at Green Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa, with Gary Staiger officiating.

Helen was born June 20, 1925, in Atoka. She was a homemaker, friend and caregiver to many. She lived in Kellyville from 1951 to 2007, when she moved to Texas.

The former Helen Jean Nelson married Dixon Cartwright in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by granddaughter Candice Lingle and grandsons John and William Cartwright.

Survivors include a sister, Lola Green, National City, Calif.; five sons, Dixon Cartwright Jr. (Linda), Big Sandy, Texas; Gary (Marsha), Edmond; Wayne (Brenda), Gladewater, Texas; Sam (Anita), Sand Springs; and Otis (LaDonna), Kellyville; three daughters, Pat Dobson (Joe), Olathe, Kan.; Elaine Horne (Mike), White Oak, Texas; and Mary Lingle, Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Dixon "Trey" Cartwright III, Nacogdoches, Texas; Jamie Payne, Tyler; Bret Dobson, Kansas City, Mo.; Brad Dobson, Austin, Texas; Stacy Penix, Jenny Richards and Matt Cartwright, Edmond; Heidi Harper, Morrisville, N.C.; Elizabeth Stephens, Longview, Texas; Elizabeth Horne and Rachel Horne, White Oak; Erin Lingle, Tyler; Hannah Cartwright, Augusta, Kan., Meagan Leverich, Bixby; Zachary Cartwright and Ethan Cartwright, Nacogdoches; and Olivia Cartwright, Kellyville.

Helen Cartwright is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
