Life Story for John E. "Jed" Powell
John Edward Powell, aka Jed, was born on December 17, 1947 in Hay Springs, Nebraska to John and L’Maree Powell. He passed from this life on August 25, 2014. He was married to Jane Elizabeth King for 31 years. He worked at Imco for 29 years as a lab technician. He also took part in the Sapulpa Community Theater and was a radio DJ in his younger years at 106.9 FM. He enjoyed entering raft races and was a very kind hearted man.
Jed was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Elizabeth Powell; and parents John and L’Maree Powell. He is survived by his son Bobby John Powell Sr. and wife Leta Powell and four grandsons; Justin, Bobby Jr., Kody and Blake.
