Obituary for William Douglas "Doug" Jones

William Douglas "Doug"  Jones
William Douglas Jones was born October 10, 1941 in El Paso County, Texas. He passes away on February 16, 2012 at his home. Doug served in the Navy from 1960-1964, and moved to Oklahoma after serving to complete his bachelor’s degree at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. After his graduation Doug worked for Standard Oil of Indiana. Although, it changed names multiple times he remained at the same company until his retirement.

Doug was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed fishing, playing chess, and wrestling. He also enjoyed living out in the country and being close to his family.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents, William Glen Jones, and Francine Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Etta Jones, Daughter Katie Brown, sons Freddy Jones and Anthony Jones, his sister Betty Petty, as well as three nephews, Richard, Robert, and Roman Petty. There are also a host of many other family and friends.
