Life Story for Deloris Sixkiller (Arthurs)

Deloris  Sixkiller (Arthurs)
Deloris Sixkiller, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 with her family by her side. Deloris was born in Tulsa to James and Allie Arthurs on December 8, 1935. She married Jerry Sixkiller on March 17, 1969. During their marriage they were blessed with four daughters.

Deloris worked for Telex Computers for many years before she and Jerry bought DJ’s Snack Bar. They ran DJ’s for 15 years before retiring. For many years Deloris taught Sunday School, earlier in her life. Deloris and Jerry enjoyed going to their grandchildren’s school and sporting events. They enjoyed camping and fishing with their daughters and grandchildren as well as going to the horse races.

Deloris is survived by daughters Billie Lowery and husband Donnie of Sapulpa; Linda Hammontree of Broken Arrow, Glenda Wallace and husband Terry of Broken Arrow; and Vicki Crawford and husband Butch of Verdigris; and brothers Buck Iliff of Sapulpa and Jim Iliff of Alaska. She is also survived by niece Candy Russell, who was like a daughter to her; grandchildren Cindy Scott of Sand Springs; Summer Aldridge of Miami, OK; Mandy Blotter of Houston; Shanda Hartsock of Republic, MO; Ashley Robertson of Owasso; Mitchell Crawford of Owasso; Jesse Hammontree of Tulsa; Dillon Wallace of Broken Arrow and numerous nieces and nephews and great grandchildren and her little dog “Ginger” whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Allie Arthurs; brothers Larry, Pete and GC; mother-in-law Myrtle Sixkiller; and nephew Larry Dale Arthurs.
